What this site records, and why

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, it receives your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time, in order to serve and protect the site. Logs from the site's server code are kept for a period set by the hosting plan: from one hour to 30 days, according to Vercel's documentation.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, and no other analytics service. According to Vercel, it uses no third-party cookies: visitors are told apart by a hash created from the incoming request, the visitor session is discarded after 24 hours, and each view records the time, page address, referring site, approximate location, operating system, browser and device type. We only ever see totals.

Before a view is sent, your browser removes every part of the page address after the “?” except campaign tags (utm_…) and our own src label.

Sign-up links go through our own /go address. Each click records: the time, which casino, your country code and region code (a state, nation or province code such as TX) as supplied by the host, which part of our site the link was on (a short label such as “review”), the page you clicked from, whether your device looks like a phone or a desktop, and a random click reference. Where the affiliate programme accepts it, the same reference is added to the link, so the programme can report a sign-up and we can be paid for it.

If a link is not available where you are, we record the refusal instead: the time, which casino, your country and region codes (blank if unknown), the label and the page.

Neither record contains your IP address, a cookie, your name or your email. They are stored in a Google Sheet in the operator's Google account; if that is not set up or the delivery fails, they go to the hosting logs above instead.

Some pages ask our server which country and region (state or province) you appear to be in, worked out by the host from your IP address, so that sign-up buttons are only shown where they work. The answer goes back to your browser and is not stored by us.

When you click “Yes, I'm 18+”, your browser stores an entry named “age-ok”, with the value “1”, in its local storage so the question is not asked on every page. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your site data removes it. This is not a cookie, and it is the only thing our own code stores in your browser.

If you write to info@provenpayouts.com, we receive your address and whatever you write, and use them to reply. They are kept in our mailbox with our email provider for as long as we need them to deal with your message.
